Bachelor – Automatic Control and Applied Informatics

Admission - Bachelor

Systems Engineering is an interdisciplinary field that aims to design and manage complex engineering systems throughout their lifetime.

Coverage of Systems Engineering is extremely wide, from technical areas: automatic control engineering, software engineering, industrial engineering, as well as the organization or project management systems. Systems Engineering ensures that all aspects of a project or of a system are considered as a whole.

Automatic Control and Applied Informatics is the main Bachelor programme in the Systems Engineering field within the Romanian technical universities.

Automation or Automatic Control is a branch of science and engineering that deals with the study of methods on designing control systems and their use for technical processes, machinery and equipment can operate without direct human intervention, as much as possible.

Robotics is the science that deals with technology, design and manufacture of robots, as well as with the computers that control them using data received from their sensors. Also, by studying Robotics it acquires knowledge on robot programming and robot integration in increasingly diverse applications (industry, construction, medicine, agriculture), making progress for the transition from the personal computer to the “personal robot”. Robotics requires knowledge of electronics, mechanics and computer programming and is one of the main instruments that implements Automatic Control systems.

Informatics is the science of information processing, which currently is done with computers.

Applied Informatics is another modern instrument through which information represented as models or knowledge about the structure and operation of a process are processed using software algorithms to control the process behavior to achieve the desired performance.
